Naima, Bye

Desde hace algo más de una década desde su fundación, la trayectoria de esta banda valenciana se inscribe perfectamente en la de la escena internacional del jazz más vanguardista. En su trabajo "Bye" (Cuneiform Records, 2016) el combo sigue los pasos de su anterior trabajo ("A trío conspiracy", 2013) em cuanto a intenciones: desarrollar composiciones que aúnen la intuición y la emoción de géneros como el pop con la precisión y la complejidad del jazz. No en vano se les asocia con otros tríos que se caracterizan por su apertura de miras, como Brad Mehldau trío oThe Bad Plus. Incluye versiones de Jaga Jazzist y Elliott Smith.

For a little over a decade since its foundation, the trajectory of this Valencian band has been perfectly in line with that of the most avant-garde international jazz scene. In their work "Bye" (Cuneiform Records, 2016) the combo follows in the footsteps of their previous work ("A trio conspiracy", 2013) in terms of intentions: to develop compositions that combine the intuition and emotion of genres such as pop with the precision and complexity of jazz. It is not for nothing that they are associated with other trios characterised by their open-mindedness, such as the Brad Mehldau trio or The Bad Plus. Includes versions of Jaga Jazzist and Elliott Smith.
